GODSLAP Characters
Meet Aius Braun, Darius, Cyann and the central figures driving the story. Each profile keeps the basic introduction spoiler-free so you can start the series fresh.
Aius Braun
The central viewpoint character of GODSLAP. His arrival in Montpelier places him directly inside the city's violent conflicts and drives the main story forward.
Determined, confrontational, and willing to push into dangerous situations to pursue his goals. His connections with Darius and Cyann form an important part of his journey.
Darius
One of the important figures Aius encounters during the opening story, closely tied to his progression through Montpelier.
Experienced, forceful, and far more familiar with the dangers of the city. He acts as a connection between Aius and the wider network of fighters surrounding Montpelier.
Cyann
A core member of the early cast and one of the characters most closely associated with Aius's experiences in Montpelier.
Confident, capable, and comfortable navigating situations that are unfamiliar to Aius. Her interactions with Aius and Darius anchor the central character group.
GODSLAP Beginner Guide
A spoiler-light introduction to GODSLAP, its Montpelier setting, central characters, and the easiest way to start reading the series.
Meet Aius Braun
Aius is the main character and the best anchor for understanding the series. The opening story follows his arrival in Montpelier and gradually reveals why he has entered such a dangerous environment.
Understand Montpelier
Montpelier is the primary setting of GODSLAP and the center of the series' early conflicts. It is a dangerous urban environment filled with powerful combatants, competing interests, and people whose influence reaches far beyond ordinary street fights.
Know the Core Conflict
The story begins on a personal scale through Aius's goals, but his journey quickly overlaps with larger rivalries and hidden agendas inside Montpelier.
Follow the Main Character Group
Aius, Darius, and Cyann are the key names to remember at the beginning. Their interactions provide much of the context needed to understand the city's dangers.
Read in Numbered Order
Start with Issue #1 and continue through the numbered issues in sequence. Readers who prefer collected editions can begin with GODSLAP Volume 1 and then continue into the later single issues.
Use the Official Digital Edition
GlobalComix hosts the official digital GODSLAP series, while Bad Egg Publishing provides the publisher's own releases and collected editions.
Quick Tips
- Slap power, not guns, decides status in Montpelier — the fighters at the top of the slap society shape everything.
- The Prologue sets up the world and tone; reading it before Issue #1 makes the opening arc land harder.
- Volume 1 and the earliest single issues cover the same opening material, so pick whichever format you prefer.
- The official animation from Sakowski Studios is a companion piece — watch it after starting the comics.
